Township hospital intermediate diagnostic centres TB in Guangxi

This project was aimed to develop and expand the Guangxi Model into the general practice of poor access areas of Guangxi. The study was designed on the Nuffield's former successful cooperation with Guangxi CDC, i.e. the roll-out training of the China TB Case Management Deskguide and its training modules in Guangxi. The Key component of the Guangxi Module is how to decentralise the TB service to township hospitals by setting up microscopy centres at this level. This intervention study was to come up with policy recommendations regarding the current microscopy policy and methods of enhancing patients' access in poor areas of China for the national Ministry of Health.
